This was just so pretty to me...
 And then as I'm lulling in to the solitude of the last hour.........Look what almost catches me off guard up and around a corner!   Fortunately, I've got lots of livestock experience, so I turn my bike off and sit patiently for the herd to go by.........    That took the better part of 10 minutes...... I guess there's some sort of 'city slicker' tour where you 'get' to participate in a yahoo roundup....... Nevermind that this is the 108 and cars and other motorized vehicles come flying through.......... Oh well......  I'm just glad I wasn't going my normal speed and was too busy snapping pics!

Going up?
I spy a waterfall..........
   Self explanitory.....As I looked around I couldn't help but wonder how cool it would be to climb up the mountains on foot...... I constantly had thoughts of Mallory and Shackleton and some of the other early explorers. How it must have been for them to climb in this weather, but especially in the ice and snow in uncharted territories...... Ya...I think a lot sometimes when I ride   Cool rocks...........  Almost to the top! I'm just loving every moment of this.....

The Descent (Sonora pass)
Here I go.........Dropping down from about 9600 Ft.
     Decided to stop here for a bit.......... What I would have given for a hot cup of coffee to sit and enjoy the view on this magnificent morning of solitude and peace!!!
