Nice work, Rivka! I still feel sorry for the couple that had to wait while we were setting up the shot where I am picking you up by the head! "What a couple of jackasses!" they must be thinking...

....which reminds me, I wonder what people would think if I were post up the video I took of you....

Keep it coming!

No that's what happens when more then one motorcycles tangle up, it's bits and peaches every were, and with out a head it's tough to tell which part your picking up...

Great set-up

Mark.

Day 12

More shots from the Victoria harbour....

I won the stare down, therefore I got to take the picture..

This shot almost cost me a one way ticket home...

The Money.

These...

Look and feel quite similar to these....
There were one or two times at first I just held out my hand with money in it and said 'here, just take whatever it is'

first the KM conversion.....
then the money.....

Anyway,
Decided to sit and have some hot beverages at a local café..

Latte for me...

Some tea for Squonker....

and a parting shot of the bikes......

What was very cool and random about this day,
was that I was just mucking around alone by the water and actually setting the phone booth shot up when I saw squonker ride by.
Naturally he pulled up and asked WTF was I doing

Something pretty neat about being far away from home and bumping in to a familiar stranger.

Thanks for playing along, Ben, and being my partner in crime for the afternoon.

And this was the last shot of the day and unknowingly my last night on the island....

Too funny!

FINALLY caught up! And a a ride up north to top it off! I hope to do the same some summer.

In a world of Paris Hiltons & Lindsay Lohans, it's great to see a beautiful woman enjoying life with class and a sense of humor!

It's been quite a ride...Thanks for the great pictures, peeks into your life and adventures! Stay safe and party on, Darth!

Pleasure was all mine, dude! Any time...looking forward to seeing you back here again one day. You're good company and I had a blast getting to know you and your camera. Oh, your bike's ok too, I suppose....

Day 13 Goodbye Canada

Time to head home.
Time to deal with everything.

I stole one last uncomplicated moment for myself.

Bike now packed and ready to roll,
I say goodbye to my dear friends and wonderful hosts.
This couple has known me my entire life.
I had some of the best moments of the trip
just sitting at home with them and chatting away.

It's time.

Now, to the formal 'hurry up and wait' game.
I get to the Victoria ferry an hour early and was told I may not get on,
but to wait here.

Fun.

All of a sudden,
I hear my name being called and I'm thinking 'Who TF knows me here?'
It was the customs officer who checked my passport.
He's waving me to come to the front.
So I walk all the way, squeaking, through the sea of cars and bikes and he says 'no, go get your bike and bring it up here'

NICE!!!!!!!

Now on to the ferry to Port Angeles, WA......

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance,
Baffle them with bullschidt...
my version of it anyway.....

From here....

To here......

That is the goal.

The other goal,
is not to hurl.

Isn't hurling a Canadaiaian sport?

Or is that curling?

I always get those mixed up.

Nothing worst than hurling while you're curling on a boat.

Great RR and pics as usual Peach!

I have been enjoying the Ride Report - you folks up there certainly have a heap of rather nice countryside to tour in. Anyway, having old family connections to the Bonspiel/Curling centre of NZ:

Curling = Scottishish
Hurling = Irishish = the national colours of which do include green...
