Somewhat bike related...
I got to go to Arizona the other week and was lucky enough to visit some favorite old places and see some new ones.

Sadly and gladly I was not riding, (temps at 95f +) but test driving a white Nissan Altima courtesy of the rental car agency,
and lets just say if you get the chance to purchase the off road insurance, probably not a bad idea.

I digress,
Just a few shots.... as I was driving down the road to my old school,
I was salivating for a motorcycle and def plotting my next trip.
Was a beautiful day, the roads weren't too dusty because of the recent rain and there was green everywhere.
And memories. Some solid wonderful memories.

One of the coolest things for sure was an old motorcycle junk yard found on day 2.
100% totally organized chaos of probably almost every make and model of all things 2 wheels.
There were a few moments when I got out of the car and questioned my decision to stop and go in there,
because it was big and no signs of life.
Wasn't even sure it was open.
As I approached, I could hear faint banjo music in the background and now,
again,
every bad B movie I've ever seen started going through my head.

As I carefully picked my way through the narrow walkways,
I realized the music was coming from an old radio somewhere in the way back and a new sound was starting.
The sound of my chin dragging on the ground.
It was absolutely amazing to see this 'collection' of bikes in one place.
Everything was in various states of rust and (dis)repair, but was fantastic nonetheless.

All I had on me was my dying Iphone.
I tried to get a few cool shots to share......

Absolutely awesome Peach! I sat and stared at & studied those pictures of the yard of 'everything two wheels' just wondering about all the stories...I know I have a few on those things.
THANKS FOR THE DIGRESSION very much appreciated!

Something familiar about that great Arizona sky. Reminds me of some of the spots I used to know out on the Reservation when I was a teacher out that way.

Wow Peach, Thanks for the pictures! That's some motorcycle candy store.. Seems to be a lot of the old Yamaha enduros, Would love to have a couple of those, and the yellow TT500 Yamaha now that brings back some fun memories.

Nice, it sure would be easy to get lost in all those interesting bike.

Can you imagine all the dreams achieved and the memories now out there rusting away? - - -

They are not all rusting away, the owner has plans for each and every object out there

I tried to buy an old triumph tank that was off in a pile and of course, he was in the middle of rebuilding…

But in all fairness, the guy was super nice and very kind and really loved all of his bikes and cars.
Could and would tell you a story about each and every item on his property.

He even had the bike that Grampa Munster rode.
Lots of cool stories of which I hope I can remember a few more.
I hung for about an hour, but it was hot and my attention span isn't what it used to be
.
Plus anyone that knows me and my ability to bump in to anything stationary or not, knows I had temped fate at this point for roughly 59 minutes….

I am currently thinking about donating my Triumph to a needy rider.
It was given as a gift to me in a time of need and now feel like it is time to pass the torch.
If you know someone who is with out bike because of financial need (ie a crash and cant replace) and shares the same passion as we all do here, PLEASE PM ME, (NOT PUT IT IN THE THREAD) with the qualifying info.

Thanks
