Who wants an ADV Class for the OTBG 24 Hours of Starvation Ridge?

Testing the waters. I have zero decision making on the event, but if the masses seek it?

Maybe if you bore it out to say 1200 cc?, add 50 pounds of KLRdom ammo cans and run a set of Sumo tires?

I'm a bit ignant on the racing scene; can someone tell me what the story with the 24hour Starvation Ridge race? How big are teams, how long is the course, how technical is the terrain, etc...? Seems cool, but I can't find any solid information about it.

Teams seem to be 4 to six riders on average, course layout changes every year and is roughly 18 to 20 miles or so each loop, technical, well seemed like a typical desert type ride until you have been up to long and get exhausted and then it gets a little tough, and that's on a normal size bike.

Check it out, it's a blast!

P.S. Weather can be a huge factor.

It is on old farm and grazing land with a variety of terrain. If it is wet out it quickly turns into a suck fest, if it is dry out it is dusty. There is a rock garden and a hill that has been named (Nissan Hill), a couple of ponds that are skirted and plenty of spots that are balls to the wall. There are a couple technical sections, but nothing serious. This race is all about staying moving and the ability to ride at night (make sure you see Daryl at Cyclops for the best lights in the biz). Having a small pit crew to help out with meals and maintenance is a bonus, but not mandatory if all you are doing is riding the race and not looking for a podium.
Everything is absolutely doable on the ADV bikes as the Heavyweights proved. It isn't a course for novice riders, but it isn't an expert only level.
The pits are tightly controlled and family friendly..
