Taking a break after riding through the boondocks of my home county. That custom Corbin transformed a 40 mile bike in a 400+ mile machine. Best money I've spent on her, hands down.

The nice thing with the SW-Motech racks is that it only takes about 30 seconds to take them off if you want to ride more aggressively without the wieght of the racks.

So far I have purchased a Vapour and a Whipps bashplate for it, depending on exchange rates I plan on adding (well buying and adding on later) a fair bit more before I return

Hey DRTrev

What small windshield do you have on your DR 650. It looks like the right size?

Thumb crash bars

someone asked about crash bars.
there are several.
it appears the best are from Hepco-Becker.

But, given the relatively light weight of the bike, what I did was added a so-called "highway bar" for very little money. Both my DR's have skidplates, so I tapped the frontend of the skidplate and mounted with two bolts a 1" aluminum square tube/bar, and finished off with rubber slip-ons [kinda like grip puppies] and end-caps. In a layover, that bar takes the hit, and props up the side of the bike so that no damage occurs to the motor parts. I also have the Ebay "BBQ Grill" tail rack which doubles as the "bash saver" at rear. having these two standoffs will save a lot of $$$$

Does anyone know where I can get in the US a front fender like these two bikes have? Basically something that is not dirt looking but more like street looking. My fender is stock and scratched up very badly.

Thanks,
Alex

Great idea. I think I will copy it on my 650 when I get it and add it to my DR200.

Here's the contact details. They are made here in Oz. With the exchange rate at the moment I reckon you guys would get them for about $80US.

The screens are $110.00 + $26.00 freight for light tint , dark tint and
clear.
If you want colours like red, yellow, blue, green, orange, etc they are
$10.00 more.
It takes about 10 working days for delivery to the US.
I can except VISA, Master card, Paypal or direct bank deposit all prices are
in Aust dollar.

Cheers Peter

I've done about 3000 miles with mine and it's been great. He (Peter) can do them in any colour, any tint. He was good to deal with too.
