Holds about 7 litres, so should take the fuel range to around 200 miles I'd guess. http://www.gs-equipment.de/page1.php

My bike was produced in September 07 as an 08 model, all bikes produced after November 07 have floating front rotors, I personally think that it's a shame for BMW to install old components on a brand new model especially when it comes to "a special edition hand build bla bla .. bike", so they have a bulletin that instructs the dealer to replace the front rotors with the new version if the customer complains of pulsating brakes. The bulletin number is 34 006 08, if you have the new version of rotors apparently you wouldn't need the service. I experienced the pulsations only after 15K miles on my bike. Cheers |

I had a K1200S with 24K miles on it when I sold it and no pulsations or other brake issues. With the introduction of the non power assisted brakes new rotors with "softer" compound were put on the bikes in order to achieve higher friction and less effort on the lever. The new material however is more prone to warpage and many people on this forum complained about it and that was also my case, but again only after 15K miles on the bike I experienced the problem. The new design of the rotors allows for different "spring" washers and more floating that would compensate for the eventual warping that might develop one day. Cheers Megaman |

Drilling the neck of the tank allowed me to get between 160-170 miles per tank on a long trip, a distance I could easily live with, in the city I get 140 miles per tank. Cheers, Megaman |
