I'm about ready for a new set of tyres and have been considering these - http://www.pirelli.co.uk/web/catalog...ONSYNC_HYP.xml

I currently have them on my Guzzi Griso 8V SE as a factory fit and have been quite impressed. Not the outright grip of the Michelin Power's obviously, but a nice feel and hopefully better mileage.
I am now trying a set of Pirelli Angel ST. I put the front on yesterday and went for a 300 km trip today. The rear has 3000 km on it. Very stable, and grips incredibly well even on a cold day ( 5 degrees today). Great wet weather performance too, according to a recent test by german Motorrad. Should last longer than the 2CT's, so maybe I can get 8000 km from a set.

I was running Pirelli Diablo Strada's on my Rockster before I sold it at the beginning of the year, and really liked them, very stable, very neutral and great in the wet. I believe the Angel ST's are their replacement in the new range.

Congrats anyway

Like you i wonder if my next step would be on the same direction. Now BMW has launched the 3/3 campaign, what means you make an upfront payment of 1/3 of the bike, then you finance 1/3 at 24/36 months, and last payment due of 1/3 at the end of the period...................Such a temptation.

Only concern is that S1000RR torque is slightly weaker than the MM (2.5% exactly) , even they keep almost same torque / weight ratio.
On the cavalry department................83 Horsepower plus difference ¡¡¡¡ in favour of the S1000RR.

Please keep us updated on the S1000RR thread at least.

¿which measure has that rear Avon distanzia? ¿160?

I see too much work on these racks, i couldn´t do it myself. However, i ve seen someone on this forum with TT cases on the megamoto, and he did not mention too much work on the racks....I´ll try to find the post.
cheers
Yes Alfaris it is 160cm, biggest rear they have.

I think RotoEddie had the MM racks fitted. He used a set of racks/panniers from Touratech.

I already had the BMW Adv cases and bought the racks long before TT released there's. For a while I was seriously thinking about getting the TT setup as it took me so long to get round to finding somebody who could do the custom install work.

Thanks for your comments. With this bike it is so adaptable, I have managed big distances on it and with these tyres/racks it open's up whole new areas off the beaten track here in Aust and I love the fact that in a couple of hours it can be transformed back into quick mode

I recieved my Isotta windscreen from Fixinbones the other day. I just installed it this morning and it looks great. I think it will definitely help cut down the wind "blast" at higher speeds. Ill be riding in to work today (the long way) for a test. Ill post up some pics if anyone wants to see them.

Nice indeed!

I just took the plunge and bought a HP2 Sport to go with the MM. I found the right bike at the right price, so I couldn't pass it up. 724 miles on a 2009 model. I'll post pics once it arrives.

Yeah, its my wife's car. She just beat breast cancer so I went a bit over the top and got her the car as a present. And yes, my garage needs some work apessino. I'm just waiting for the wife to stop spending money on decorating. It does get cleaned occasionally when I have some spare time.
