Hoi Hankgs,

sure man, no problem

Sadly we are going to the East Coast and Chicago area this summer, so no Cali for us. Ill take a suncheck on your offer (I hate rain (frozen or liquid)).

Cheers!

Megamoto First Ride

Bought her in November off the web and due to very cold, shitty weather with salting of roads have not ridden her until today.

It was very very wet (hopefully washed away the salt), and not sure of road conditions (potholes and other crap) over my favourite biking routes so I took it relatively easy (Brecon Beacons good sheep country ) .

First impressions:

Very responsive from low revs, i.e. loads of torque
A few vibes from the bars in low/mid range - characterful?
Handles well though, but I wasnt pushing it.

Ride quality needs tweaking, the suspension settings were set to standard however the front end seems too stiff
Not as "raw" as my KTM 990 SM (now sold), have I gone :ymca?

Only time, and dryer weather will tell.

I don't know. I got them from Holan (Poland) in conjunction with the pannier racks. The racks where for a HP2E and Holan made mine slightly wider in anticipation of fitting them to a MM. As it turned out I had to cut and re-shape the racks to fit (so I could use existing exhaust etc and fit them up closer to the bike than Holan had planned) which when finished meant I could re-fit the standard BMW indicators which in turn stopped the CANBUS light error I was getting with these after markets ones.

RocketRon, I love the Brecon Beacons, went through there many, many times in my youth, great roads!

I just did an 1100 mile long weekend on mine, this gives you an idea of why I fell in love with California, and decided to pack up and move back in '93.

I have a little video of the first part of the ride when I was alone, showing my favorite parts of the 58. Once the bike got going quickly the camera shakes really violently, too much to really enjoy, so I didn't bother with doing any video the next two days.

Thank you, certainly smart idea for LED displays, but I try smaller indicators...

Video test...

GoPro HD camera test

Hah, so it works!! OK, there is no way to compete with Edie's stunning Norway rides, but this is a road I love, the 58 climbing out of the San Jaquim Valley up onto the high desert and the rolling coasting range beyond.

HPSaucy,

absolutely fantastic, I only spotted 3 vehicles in that ride, no sheep (I am not Welsh !!) and dry tarmac (asphalt) all the way!!
