Hi GSMarc,

Just got a pair of blinkers just like yours. Although I hadn’t had the chance to look at them properly, it appeared to me that their base is bigger then the area available on the front cowl to mount them... could you be a sport and show a picture of the fitting?

Thanks!

I just took a little tube in copper (painted in black) and inside a long bolt.

All this to place the blinkers in right place

Nice one! I wish we had more roads like yours with the same lack of traffic
Thanks for sharing.

A little off topic from recent posts......

I'm finding I like how removing the catalytic converter on the boxers allows the engines to run cooler. I'm running Remus or StainTune on my other bikes.

Is there an aftermarket header/midpipe that can be used on the MM with the stock Akrapovic muffler that will bolt right up without any fuss?

Not sure about that, but I love my full Remus system, it has no cat, is barely louder than stock with the db-killer inserted, and very pleasant without. The whole think is quite a bit lighter too, always a big plus in my book.

Sure. I´ve got this Aros Marmitte header
Nice people to deal with. Paid upfront and packet arrived just a few days later.

Why not simply remove the cat from the original header? The Megamoto have a very good system already. I believe there was an owner fitting the Akrapovic full system (über expensive titanium HP version) without gaining any power. All you need is a grinder, a welder and a dremel

Remus doesn't show a full system listed specifically for the MegaMoto. Which one did you get? Did you have any fitment issues? Did you install it yourself or have the shop do it?

I did fit it myself, and everything fitted together perfectly, the only thing is there are a couple of spring clips on the headers at the junction with the silencer that don't have corresponding springs from to clip into them, but they are tucked away out of sight under the bike, so I don't notice them.

I'd say call Knut Wagner at Remus, 510-595-3300 and ask him - I've also shot him an email, and will update the info on my site with the relevant part numbers as soon as I hear back.

Thank you! One last question...... what was the approximate weight difference between the mufflers (stock vs hexacone)

I ask because I'm going through an internal debate on getting a full system vs just headers to eliminate the cat.

I had the Akra Ti full system and the can was much lighter than that of the stocker
