Pilot Sport Pure & Front Suspension Tweak
Lovely weather here today in south Wales, dry and 20C. Took a ride up to the Brecon Beacons..............
New Michelin Pilot Pures scrubbed in and front suspension, which I found too stiff on standard settings, tweaked , compression set at -15 and rebound at -15 (standard -10 for both). Result - a transformation in handling - the bike turns quickly, holds the line, fantastic grip, less nervous and less handlebar wobble driving hard out of corners. I now reckon this baby really is a keeper., ![]() ![]() Deep joy |

Lovely weather here too....
And I finally got to do a couple of hundered miles through the canyons on my new Pilot Pures too. They are stunning tires, and really suit the bike well, I give them a full two thumbs up. I rode out to Moto Classica at Willow Springs raceway, and made a full report of the very fun day here -

HP2 Megamoto East Coast Australia
I have been lurking occasionally since I bought my MM in February '11 following rehab after being subjected to a road rage attack by a lunatic cage driver which nearly killed me but only broke a few bones in the end.
Can't abandon my love for boxers AND wanted a bike capable to effect an escape if I ever meet an idiot like that again. Also decided I needed to smile a lot more while I am on this mortal coil, so voila - HP2 MM. Would love to meet like minded to do the occasional scratch up and down the east coast of Australia from the ranges to the sea and back again. Like a giant wave; there is no limit to what is possible on an HP2. As the attrition rate for the rare beast increases they will become even rarer so we need to be aligned. We have the best mixture of terrain which an HP2 thrives in and the best bike for those challenges. Can you hear me?

Great photos...! I would have gone for a more "hid/projector" headlight on that HP2 Enduro/MM though. Thanks for sharing

Time for a tire change again. Mileage is now 39800 km. My last set was a Pirelli Angel ST. Rear lasted 6000 km and front 5500 and the sides wore out first.
I am very happy with the performance and have a new set ready. I have now tried the following tires on my MM. Michelin Pilot Power, 1 set Michelin Pilot Power 2CT, 3 sets Bridgestone BT 016, 1 set Continental Sport Attack, 1 set Pirelli Angel ST, 1 set The only bad tires were the BT 016. Felt great for the first 1500 km then lost the good feeling. The 2CT's and the Angels are highly recomended if you need an allround tire that is at home in the twisties as well as in the rain.

yep
so the mm ain't new anymore, the first scratches and markes are in place.
footpegs did leave some marks on the track as that the track left it's marks on my footpeg. i guess that the standard sag of the rear needs some tuning. really had some fun yesterday, 15 degrees, sun and a bit warmer asfalt, ideal conditions. it remeans funny to overtake others with a beamer. the bike for the retired ones. allthough almost everybody thinks that the mm is a great bike. |

I didn't get to meet with the owner, so sadly have no idea on what he did or how it works.
