oh sh..
![]() Impossible to buy a new LCD, only full tachy (700€) ; If you find a second hand tachy, be carefull because it can happens the BMW system will set the highest km between the ones found on the (used) counter and the ones found in your BMSK. It depends on the year I think. If BMSK-P it should react as I say (Somedude, am I right ?) I am interrested in buying the part with the speed (KmH) and HP2 logo if you throw away your tachy. Here, I used a Megamoto one to replace the HP2E one and I need a spare one.

The fuel pump was not under warrantee. So more than $700 later, it's fixed.

I talked to the service tech about it. He said the new one is the stronger unit from BMW. It has the metal fitting around the base. This was the first time I heard about this problem and after talking to a few people at the dealer, it seems to be quite common. I reported it for recall purposes, as BMW will fix ONLY the 05 model year pumps, even though it's the exact same part. Oh well. Some motorcyclists pay their "taxes" through other means. This is the only issue I've had on the mm thus far.

Speaking of ass pain, does anyone have a recommendation for a seat pad that I can put on top of the seat while taking long rides? I don't want to change the look of the current seat. I rode through Death Valley yesterday; around 360 miles. After 250 miles, it becomes unbearable.

I asked saddle maker to add some material under the final liner(?)
http://www.osenstetter.de/ Ask a pro to do the same with original saddle.
