What's missing?

Had my MM for a couple of years now and love it to bits
I've often wondered why the 'mudguard' under the seat has been cut short. It doesn't bother me 'cos it's fitted with a hugger
Anybody got an idea as to why it was cut?

Can someone post a pic of a 'normal' one please

Thanks!

After receiving nearly everything I need, I loaded up the MegaMoto for a short test run. I can definitely feel the weight from the bags and braking distance has increased as well. I still have 52 days before I roll out, but I'm excited as hell! While on the ride, Ill try to update you guys here in real time. I'll be sure to write a nice ride report as soon as I get back.

May 22nd couldn't get here fast enough! Well, back to studying for my midterms.

Back on the road

It's taken a few months after sliding off the track into a tirewall to get the bike back on the road. In the end I had to replace the rear rim, get the front rim straightened and do some bending to the rear section of the frame. The rear subframe has been replaced with a steel one, and the rear panels have been covered with a sticker that is the colour of the tank (so doesn't exactly match the white on the seat). If it lasts ok, it will be easier to clean. If not I'll respray.

1 week for the first track session, temperatures here still only a little bit above freezing though and in 12 days I will be doing a week touring in Spain through the Pyrenees with my brother. And his KTM 950smr. Will be fun.

I decided to take the Mega out of hibernation today for the first time for about six months. No optimate, or anything plugged in to the battery for the whole of winter, and it fired up first time.

Did around 120 miles around the South Downs, and rekindled my love affair with this bonkers bike. It was fantastic to be out on it again after so long, the only downside is that I ache all over, and I may have gone up a neck size on my shirts after just a couple of hours!

Naked look

I did it for the Naked cool look on my MM. With the hugger there the fender is not needed except for holding up the carbon canister which went bye bye. With the Markus tank the whole fender is removed.
