I'd like the windscreen. If the damper doesn't sell. I'd like that also.

If it's sold before I can buy it I would like to know where you got it and your opinion of it's effectivness. Thanks

The screen is made by Isotta for Wunderlich, and it is very effective, makes all day riding so much more comfortable, one of the best mods on my bike.

doh!

If by some miracle all previous interestees in the exhaust either change their mind/ don't want them/fall foul of the credit crunch/buy a new bike also/ or the plague of froggs I'm sending to put them off buying works , I'll have them

So, now that the S1000RR has stolen the thunder of the entire industry, what are your thoughts on the Mega, its value and the rest of the HP bikes?

Seems that the MM, HP2e and HP2s have been forgotten a bit in the wake of the S1000RR's debut and sales.

The S1000RR is getting ALL the press recently since it's the newest of the new and it is a great bike.

Keep in mind the MM and HP2S were never going to be big sellers. They were meant to be a limited production. Completely different type of bike too.

All of them are great for what they are meant to be.

The S100RR is what it is, a very effective copy of a Japanese 1 litre production sports bike.

The HP2's are / were all limited production specials, each unique in their own way. They will always be rare, the S1000RR production numbers will probably eclipse the MM numbers in a matter of months.

There are lots of great bikes out in the market place, some fast, some just special, the HP2's might not be the fastest bikes ever made, but they will all remain special, and I can't see that changing over time.

The introduction of the S1000RR at 15K puts an upper limit on the resale value of an HP2S........may change in the future, but not before we're all dead....

I don't think so, I'd buy a HP2S, the S1000RR has no real interest to me other than a passing technical one. Look closely at the HP2S and it is a beautifully crafted bike, the S1000RR merely a well built production bike.

The amount of buyers that would be interested in buying both bikes would be small I'd guess, so the HP2S will continue to appeal to that small number of afficianado's it already does.

Speaking of the HP2S, I took a look at one down at the dealer. I actually fit on the thing. And the more I looked at it, the more I wanted it. Not good for my bank account... And, that speado set up is crazy cool. Well, another bike to think about while Im out on the road.
