Dealer wants 13,885 for one with ABS. Too steep for me.

Its a better used buy for sure. I paid 8500 for mine with 5000 miles and only 18 months old. No ABS but that's good as I don't like Beemers ABS and it would stifle the fun too Love mine more now than when I bought it.

Finally drilled the filler neck and I'm very pleased with the result. First trip I did 254 km before filling up (the countdown said zero for the last 5 km). Added 13,12 litres, and I could still see petrol in the tank, so the tank now definitely holds closer to 14 litres total.

Total milage is now 31800 km and a service is due. I changed oil and filter at ca 29000 km.

I went for a good ride yesterday (over 400 miles). Check it out in the Day Trippin' section of the rides. I still have to finish up the RR.

Wicked I've been a naughty boy!!!!!!...

Yes, it's true: it' shamefull to spend such a silly amount of money in such a idiotic gadget, it adds nothing to the bike (well, it adds nothing to what so ever!) and I can only think of terribly sinful reasons for this up-grade.... (grid, lust, envy,... yes, it ticks them all!!) but it sure looks good!!!!

Can you tell us how you transfered the Km from the original tachy to the HP2S's one ?

Can you tell us the price of the new tachy ?

Was it difficult to fix it on the bike ?

Thank you

Can you tell us the price of the new tachy ? No, but any BMW dealer can... you see, mine was a used one!

Was it difficult to fix it on the bike ? No, very easy!... but there are still a few electronic gremlins to sort! I'll be needing to take it to an official dealer.

Thank you
