Man that does suck - sorry to hear about it - glad the damage is (relatively) light. I passed one of those overgrown rats at speed last night - didn't see until it was too late - luckily it stayed put.

For sport, trying running Wisc. Hwy 2, from the outskirts of Superior, east to Ashland in the darkness.. one could invent a "deer crash game" based on that stretch... "jumping beef" ...... yum, with carrots n onions....

I'm looking to ride some gravel roads on Sunday. My favorites are down in Goodhue County, but the bridge is out at Hastings so the plan is to have breakfast in Cannon Falls, then kick up dust in a generally eastward direction, crossing the river at Red Wing. Or maybe I'll start by Red Wing and head toward Cannon Falls. I'm flexible that way .

There is an article in the Trib today about the motorcycle fatalities this year. 47 so far. 120 in 1980! Seems like helmet or no helmet they still die. Thank dog I wasn't riding my motorcycle home last night.

In 2011 five of the 41 fatalities were caused by the hooved ditch bangers.

Just FYI, in MN, deer hits are on your comprehensive insurance, not collision. So filing a claim likely won't impact your insurance rates. Even if you are fixing it yourself, you can take it into the adjuster, and get a check...

I just have liability. I know about the comp deal. I have it on my bikes.

Oh, last night on the drive home I get pulled over by the cops for having a light out on my truck (I let him have it and just got a warning) AND 2 more deer cross the road a bit in front of me not too far from my house.

Looks like a shitty weekend too...
