+1

We just got "taken over" so no vacation, sick days, etc. for a year. Year is up the end of this May. Medical insurance is all we have for a benefit. A coworker of mine was sick and took 2 days off, had to get a note from the doctor to get one day of holiday pay. A few have came in sick because they can't afford it like me. I doubt we will get sick days after a year too. I'd gladly stay home if I got paid. I'm sure lots of others would too!

She stayed home yesterday. I got sick in the morning and was and still am surprised that my boss called me in at 9a. "We really need you to run 40 stops, the freezing rain near Little Falls is killing us."

Fine.

9.5 hours of cold sweats and burping up bile and I headed home. Maybe working through it was the key. I only drank water till last night and so far this morning, I feel pretty good. Not that I have actually gotten up to test it. Just laying around seems to agree with me.

My back has been hurting for a few weeks.

It just occurred to me that today I lifted the 120 lb. bins of salt out of the bed of my pickup and carried them into the garage without even thinking about it. Funny how you forget about ailments the moment they're gone.

I've spent the last few years building up an immunity to Taco Bell.

I have not eaten at Taco Bell in years. I would bet more than 10. I used to like Taco John's, but I OD'd on potato ole's the last time and have not been there in over a year.

The problem with eating healthy is that it really fucks with your system when you splurge on onion rings or high fat noms.

I am really getting sick of Sprite and pretzels.

I am here to tell you that the 20 year old Glenrothes is a rather splendid scotch. Rich, creamy and reminiscent of dried fruits.

Carry on.

I bet if I tasted it I wouldn't be able to tell it from a shot of paint thinner.

How do you guys drink that stuff?

I am trying this one now.

It is amazing. It certainly has a strong peaty taste, but you can also taste the sea, and........I dunno, a kind of sweet honey background flavour.

And it makes your tongue go ZING.

So that's nice. I like the smoothness of the Glenrothes though.
