On the subject of burgers. Where was the worst Burger you paid money for?

For me, Snuffy's Malt shop in Minnetonka. Mushroom and Swiss, projectile barfing abounded.

The campground in Hay Creek, MN off of MN 58 south of Red Wing. We went by it on that ride last fall. DO NOT STOP THERE. I had a disastrous cheeseburger there. I think they bought all the ingredients at a 7-11 five years ago and just left them on the counter until I ordered.

Worst burger I ever spent fourteen dollars for was at Burger Jones. That place is teh suck.

I need to check that place out. I have a growing hat collection these days. Stuff I would have thought odd 20 years ago. Mostly Coal and Block headwear. Two brands that make good stuff for not a lot of money. Also put some money down on Minneapolis Millers 1951 cap I bought over at BlackBlu at Selby/Dale in St. Paul. Great store mainly a lot of Selfedge Raw Denim (think old Levi's) and local brands like Redwing, Faribault Woolen Mills, Duluth Pack, etc.

There is also the NorthernGrade this Sunday at James J. Hill.

The Brookside in Marine on St. Croix.

As soon as I bit into it a smell lofted to my nose that resembled a deer carcase in July. I (unfortunately) chewed and swallowed anyway and looked down at what was in my hand. The meat was a color you never want to see in your burger. :puke

I once went the Snuffy's in Mac Groveland. Never again.

My friend Bruce MacGregor and his two partners bought the Brookside nearly three years ago. In very short order, they turned the place around completely. The facility, the staff, the food - all were all greatly improved. Sadly, Bruce died in an accident on Jan. 30th of last year.

They did an amazing job. If I had more disposable income it would be a frequent hang out for me. I took the boys out there the other night and we had a great meal and a good time. I hesitated to mention it, for fear of hurting them, but it used to be pretty bad.
