Tires on camping gear ready and having a captian and coke waiting for my fish fry at favorite local bar celts. Hopefully the fuel pump goes quick. See you all tomorrow.

That is sad. But I also learned that "Billy", king of the Counter Creatures who frequented the Delta Diner passed away last month.

I was toying with going to the DD today, although I don't know if time will permit. That's how I found out, when I logged on to the website to check hours and stuff.

Well I gave up. Halfway to Duluth my "waterproof" pants gave way. Coupled with the fact that I couldn't see shit, I stopped having fun, so that was that.

So you guys who wear specs when you ride - how do you keep your glasses and visor from fogging up, and at the same time keep rain from going up the inside of the visor and all over that and your glasses?

I don't mind getting wet really, since I wasn't that cold, but when I can't see that really ends the ride for me.

Also, what the flip are you using to stop water going down the neck of your jacket?

Next time I'll try not to leave my oversuit in Texas.

My hands were dry though.

pinlock - it's the shit. I can wear shades under it with no issues.

It's the best solution I've found.

For the record I never said they didn't keep my hands dry - they perform that task admirably and they help with warmth - major gripes are I can't fit them over my gloves and they make using the controls fairly clumsy.

They do add a certain awkwardness, but I find I get over that pretty quick. Mine are a bit of a snug fit, so a bit tricky to get on.

However, once on, they do the best job ever at keeping my hads warm and dry, so I tend to put up with the other (to me) minor dissatissffaccttiions.

I have a pinlock on my visor. My visor stays fog free, but the problem is my specs do not, and then I have to open the visor a tad to de fog them, and then in heavy rain the water gets all over the inside of the visor and both sides of my specs. And seriously, I cannot see shit once that happens.

Maybe I should try coating my specs with that rain X stuff, or whatever.

To be honest, if I had been able to see today I would have kept going, even though my raingear was starting to leak.

Oh well, maybe I'll just do what Daggy tells me and go and get a stitch.

EDIT: Incidentally my feet were dry too. Mainly because I purchased a high quality pair of boots a year or so ago, having experienced the naffness of boot covers too often prior to that.
