Don't Feel Bad Modrover!

Yea, we've been out riding, and going through the bikes for the big Canuc trip my son and I have coming up! Oh yea, and helping dudes get ready for the Vegas to Reno 500. Ohyea and trying to keep a guy interested in working on my house...yadda, yadda, yadda... Bythe way, I forgot to comment on how freaking cool your Land Rover is! Any more picts.?
Also need to note that after putting on my low fender my heating problem has nearly gone away, except for when Im sluggin through a tight trail area. Changing to 15w-50 synthetic seemed to help too, did that cause thats what my Capo nord takes, and that intermittent squall/ whirring has'nt come back when it's real hot.

Well, I'm glad SOMEONE is riding more than me! Damn, I've been busy too. I have just enough time to commute on my bike, but that's about it. Sucks.

Hey, thanks for the comments on my old Land Rover. I've got to take some more 'action" shots the next time I go out playing with it. I don't really have any cool shots... always appear to forget the camera.

Interesting that your fender placement makes such a difference. I guess that's just what your bike wants... "put that lower fender back on or I'll boil over on your ass!".

---------Africa Twin posting... is there a price or photo of it. Heck, I'd buy it if he just wanted to unload it the damn thing for next to nothing. Problem is most AT (or TA) appear to sell for way more than they're worth. Oh well, I guess it's that whole buyer beware and what the market will bear thing.

I do love the AT... I think if it came with a shaft drive it would be THE most perfect bike for me!

Regards,
Michael

See my post above - the XLV750 has shaft drive and being in Hawaii it should be be ok to move it to the mainland without paperwork drama?

what numbers are you guys getting, regarding fuel consumption, on your Transalps?

Are there any 650 owners here?

OK... let's see some contact info. or post the actual ad. I'd like to know what this guy wants for it. How many miles on it? Does it need anything? Etc...

About the TA seat I've got... I have a guy that wants to buy it, but he hasn't sent me the cash for it yet. I'll let you know if he flakes out.

Regards,
Michael

It is unfortunate that I must part with my bike but I must. It has
17,000 KM and is in great shape. It runs perfect and looks 98%
perfect the only flaws are that it has been riden every day. For more
information on this bike please feel free to contact me via email

I cut the words, that's an improvment, this computer stuff is not my natural enviroment ok?

cool bikes, the back cylinder tends to run real hot from what I have read, it needs the scoop.

XLV's also do alternator rotors with regularity and occasionally final drives. Be aware that parts are getting hard to source with quite a few new parts no longer supplied from Honda.

also

XLV's dont handle hearly as well as a Transalp or Africa twin.

The scoops look cool, that's all,but we get upset if we lose one.Maybe pulling lots of weight at high speed in high temps, like in aussie, but for normal use, nah,I've proved it so I'd not worry.

Same with altenator rotors - I'm only on my 4th one in 4 yrs, that's normal for a Honda isn't it?

This one has only done 17,000km and looks it.

Thanks! I'll be out the week of July 5th. Taking Transalp up to Omaha for some ridin' & visitin' with friends. Send me a PM if it doesn't work out with other party. I'll get back to this in about a week.
