Speaking of Begeberg....
.....I think I can now give him a run for his money for ugliest truck in our little group. To quote Herb Tarlek who once painted his daughter's pet frog pink......"I'm telling you it's mint green, so don't look at it and tell me it's mint green....I know it's mint green".
It should be good bike tower and has enough cargo capacity to carry Bege's gold bars he uses to pay for imported beers in small towns. It also has "gubment" vinyl flooring so we can hose all the mud off that William tracks in after being lured through said mud by Gary. In case you are wondering.....yes, it is a retired federal forestry department truck that spent it's life in New Mexico, nary a fleck of rust anywhere on it. It is in getting undercoated 2004 Tahoe, 5.3 liter, 4x4, 60,000 miles, and yes, it has a gubment issue AM/FM radio, that's a RADIO kids.... Names for the new truck under consideration: TRUCK-oise Beaster Egg Keith de Menthe Improbable Hulk Fugly 1

Ugly truck.... I had no choice there was a three year old cute as hell little girl telling me it was her favorite color. She even rejected the red one I had brought home earlier so it was totally out of my control.....
But you ...have nobody but you to blame for owning an ugly truck. ![]() Come on over, we'll rattle can it yellow so you quit gloatin' over my school bus! ![]()

Mint Julep!
Does it have one of those pine tree air fresheners on the mirror? That thing looks pretty clean for a gov't vehicle.

Hell yeah....
That's a great idea John....could even be the licence plate !
MNT JLP Also thought of: US MINT or: RNGR RCK or GUB MINT Does it have one of those pine tree air fresheners on the mirror? No, but it WILL TOMORROW ! That thing looks pretty clean for a gov't vehicle.[/QUOTE] It really is....only thing I can think of is they had this for going to meetings, etc and retired it early There are no scuffs on the belly plates or anything else indicating heavy field use. Could also have been used by foresters doing tree surveys, age coring, etc would wouldn't require heavy use. It doesn't even look like it has had a ball platform in the trailer hitch, If anyone is looking for a similar rig, they have another NM Forestry truck for sale, it is a 3/4 ton 2003 Suburban, more miles but similar condition, 6.0 liter gasser. and the same chick magnet color.....

I went on a lone wolf ride Saturday. Took the 950SE out for a run. I rode 74 to St Joe, then jumped on 150 to Oakwood. Went NE out of Oakwood, thru the state park. Then worked back NW. I found some twisties by the state park, a long stretch of gravel somewhere in the cornfields..
I don't have one of those GPS devices, I just go and get lost... Ended up at Paxton. Rode of some Williams route out that way. I did about 150 miles. I REALLY like the motor on that 950.I found an old school somewhere out on the prairie. Three story red brick building, looked pretty cool, but there is a house right beside it and the house is occupied. I was also testing my new helmet. I got me an ARAI XD-3, in that fancy Hi-Viz yellow. I know these helmets are tough. Just ask William. So far I like it. The XD-4 is coming out, so the XD-3 is on clsoeout. I got mine from Revzilla.
