Great Story! No one remembers the easy / uneventful rides.
I hope your friends heal as fast as mine.

Slippin' into Fall
Days were getting shorter, leafs were falling, and so were the temperatures.
Time for riding was running out and I was determined to get a few in before it was too late. I had a tonne of things to test and try out before tearing into the bike over the winter.
Aleko said he was feeling healed up enough to go for an easy ride and that he would join me.
Based on our last ride experiences, we were going to take this one easy and enjoy the Fall Colours.
So we were off, not too far but just far enough.
A turn here and a turn there got us to some fun stuff.
We were lucky to get a nice sunny, although cool day and it made for some nice scenery and comfortable riding.
Some of the scenery.
Freshly fallen wet leafs laminating soaked slippy dirt, looks nice though.
The riding was slow and gentle, however immensely enjoyable.
I was having a blast.
Taking a brake.
Oh while we are on a brake I should mention that since aleko pretzeled
his bars on our last outing, we installed a whole new set on his bike.
This was the first test run. Major improvement, he says. Here is the setup.
Amongst the things being tested on this top secret development mission
my new grips and levers and the magical mobile camera mount arm.
Check out the hi-tech set up on my bike.
Groovy? not. Does it work? See the video I added at the end and judge for yourself.
Then it was time to play some more.
Between the leaf-laminated mud most of the ride was this kind of stuff.
We were mostly either slipping on leafs or riding through this kind of stuff for fun.
I should mention that since aleko was still healing up
he decided to leave most of the “testing” to me and man the camera.
The result – a few cool shots of me playing in the mud.
don’t look for the dry line
there probably is one, but not this
oh the joys of two wheels
Before long we headed off into the sunset and towards home
Aleko’s giving thumbs up on top of the hill while I retrieve the camera.
I guess it was a successful day.
And almost home.
