Any WWII buffs here note the unusual mix of weapons?

LH guy has an MP40, RH has a Bren gun. Officer in the center looks like he has a P38. Bike is a captured German, maybe an Ardie.

I thought the pistol was a Radon, but not sure. What do you make of lack of insignias? I am guessing glider troops.

Airborne. Berets and jump helmets. Could be Canadians.

I would say so too. As close in as I can get, the guy in the fore ground has a patch on his left shoulder that looks like it says Canada on it. The Canadaian troops were well known for coming up with gear/equipment in the field that wasn't always army issue. Some of the troops in Italy used to use a pump-action shotgun with a bayonet on it. Well suited for the close quarters/house to house thing.

Dominion troops had a reputation for doing what they damn well pleased. They were healthier than the average Brit soldier and somewhat taller.

The US made extensive use of shotguns in both world wars, Korea, and Vietnam. They were useful in many situations. In the South Pacific, they were handy for making sure there were no Jap snipers in the tops of palm trees.

Stumbled across this one. Wish the internet automatically gave you the back-story.
