I had one on my porch two weeks ago.

About 180 pounds, he/she was pissed because he/she couldn't find any food.

His mom lives in a cave about 1/2 mile from my cabin.

What was special about a 10k that you'd go to NC?

My wife hit one the other night up here at the NUT (actually, it hit her..). Luckily, the bear ran into the front wheel and just tubled down the side of her suv. Could have ben a lot worse.... No real damage, just some scratches and a bunch of fur stuck on the step-ups.

Not an everyday occurrence.

There are 5 @ Burkes Garden..
The Gov. Released 10 breeding pairs of Wolves over here back in 2005..
And last year we heard and had Wolf foot prints on the farm...

The Loin took down a deer last month... Kinda of cool ...

Placed first in 20-29 age group! It was the Mayberry 10k and Lauren's family name so a bunch of us ran. Beautiful weather and picked up 6 bottles of vino at Rebec Vineyard on the way. Bike was the first choice but with the 5pm sunset would have been a race for daylight.

Glad to see you posting TwoHawks!

This guy is my new hero. He's pretty much built the ideal trailer for hauling around TC.
