Okay, just out of curiosity and since they are so prevalent across the mid-west, why is it a good thing?

I know very little about their cost effectiveness but they would certainly appear to be a viable alternative to something like the hundreds of acres of trees they are destroying to put up the new transmission line up here.

Don't forget about variances. Makes it harder but it can still happen. Don't know about turbines, but in general, if there's $ to be had, it'll happen eventually.

Lets start with blowing the top of the ridges to flatten them..
A wind turbine only works 33% efficient..
The area that has the Turbines ,Doesn't get any benefit from the power ..
They need to get the power to a grid... Eminent domain comes in to place
Right through YOUR property ...
The ridges that they had the plans for was: Burkes Garden, East Mountain ridge, And many others....

So this height restriction was a big WIN... For the county...

There is a place for them... Just not in the mountains...

We sold the farm and left Highland after we knew we lost the battle on the turbines..
It's just a matter of time that you will see the turbines there....

Now let me make this clear I do believe in green power ..

I stopped in for some ninja provisions with which to weather the storm.

Blueberries, Granola, Lettuce, Cucumber etc.

And grabbed a tag on the way Got to get it out of my system before the flakes start to fall!

sorta bruced

Traffic this evening was the worst I have seen it here in town with the exception of Graduation Day. What a stupid mess these roads and intersections were - lets hope the masses stay home tomorrow after getting their consumerism fill this evening...
