This will be the fourth storm we’ve had in three months and the street outside this house is beginning to resemble a dirt road. It is curb-to-curb rubble, with extra debris deposited in intersections, blind curves, and just before hidden stop signs. It is amazing that the stuff they put down to make ice less slippery, is as slippery as the ice itself when left on a dry road.

The motorcycle bay is home to my bike, a trailer, and all the gardening stuff. It is scientifically arranged in such a manner to most closely resemble a flea market that has endured a natural gas explosion.

My shit is all over the place.

Maybe what I need are four more weeks of global warming, during which the snow falls fast and furiously, in atmospheric conditions that cause sparrows to freeze in flight, and also during which the authorities drop enough ground stone for ancient Roman road-builders to make a highway from Naples to the rings of Saturn, to isolate me from the distraction of riding, and to concentrate on organizing the garage and writing something that earns me millions of fucking dollars, and the attention of women who will stand alongside my ride routes, just waiting to lift their shirts for my consideration.

riding boards

It's the first time in a long time. I actually have a day off during the week. There is nothing I'd like to do more than go for a rip on the snowboard.
Bryce or Mass-o-nuttin?? Anyone interested??
I'm thinking of starting early and watching the storm roll in.

Going to Snowshoe for the weekend with a group. We rented 7 houses at Cass RR state park. I'm in the house who's theme will be beverage tasting.

I passed some strange motorcycle dude on Resovior Street in the Burg today. He or she was riding a V-Strom, Red Stitch, about 40 degrees. My guess that it was HBGurgNinja!

I am taking a personal day tomorrow. I have a feeling that it's going to get nasty out there.

Question for you. Has there ever been a best of the Valley thread? You know, like for the best breakfast go to XYZ? Coldest beer go here. Something that we could compile during the "off" months and explore during the riding months?

What say you?

Heading up to Seven Springs early in the AM with all of the family, about 10 of us. Should be awsome.

Been looking through my 2009 expenses to do my taxes.
Someone, please explain this to me.

Health Insurance from Aetna: $1,428/year

Total medical charges submitted: $1,587
Medical charges adjusted to Aetna's agreed rate: $1,561
Amount covered by insurance: $19
I pay out of pocket: $1,542

Someone, please explain how this is fair.
Why did I have to pay $2,970 including health insurance, when it would have been $1,587 without?

As if that's not bad enough, this year they increased my premium to $1,692/year.
