I didn't go directly from the SV to the FJR, had a number of bikes in between. As far as low speed manuevering, once you learn how to ride it it's really not a problem. I wouldn't say it's "tippy" per se, but it does take a little more throttle/clutch control to ride it well at lower speeds. You'll definitely notice the weight at anything below 10mph (figure 8 type manuevers). I'd recommend taking some sort of control class if/when you get it. Practice, practice, practice. |

Hate to admit it but twice for me too. Both times sitting still. The difference was the frame sliders. First time, $450 worth of plastic damage. Installed frame sliders and narry a scratch on the second drop. On the topic of weight, my front end seem to feel heavier after a new front tire has about 3,000 miles on it. Requires more steering input.

I usually run a larger windshield on the bike. I thought the stocker was near worthless so I cut it down. It only takes a few minutes to change so I now have an option if I'm going to ride on a very hot day. Compared to stock, the wind around my helmet is much cleaner with this setup.

Yeah, I also run a cut down summer shield. It works but am thinking of cutting another 2" off it.

![]() This high quality set of OES frame sliders fits the 2006-2012 Yamaha FJR-1300 (both A & AE models). These sliders have high impact strength and use 6061T6 aluminum inserts which are pressed in. Without the inserts, the engine mount screws would need to be tightened on a regular basis. High strength, rust-resistant mounting screws are included with this set. Absolutely no fairing modifications are required to install. Complete instructions are available on this site. This set can be installed in under ten minutes. More info on OES Frame Sliders If a frame slider is damaged in a crash or by a tip-over, you can replace the side you need by ordering here. Side is as viewed from sitting on the bike. Extended 06-12 FJR-1300 Frame Sliders Our 06-12 FJR-1300 frame sliders can also be purchased as an extended version. We make the sliders 1/2 of an inch longer for customers wanting a slightly longer slider set. This is the only extended FJR slider that we offer and is offered in black only. All mounting hardware is included. |

First thing I did when I picked up my '07 this year was those exact frame sliders. One of the easiest installs ever and look really good as well.

My FJR 1300 AE is doing exactly this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=EpTgqjcLT9o How to fix it? Is enough to change the clutch fluid? Maybe to soak the clutch?

No error code. Is probable that someone put car oil. Next time I will change the oil by my self as usual!
