Fixed that for ya. Watch out for low flying bookcases.

Re: Clunk into first-

Go ride an Airhead BMW. You won't notice the FJR tranny after that.

I think the stock seat is absolutely horrible! It might be tied with my old Bandit 1250 for worst seat I've ever experienced on a motorcycle.

My butt was quite relieved when I bought a Sargent. However, my wife can't stand the Sargent and uses the stock seat when she rides the FJR.

I'll have to stare at her butt more often to see if I can figure out why.

OH, there WAS LOTS of twisties!!
BanjoBoy took me on a serious run down HIGHLY rated Hyw 162 from Quincy to Oroville. However, he was WAY in front of me most of the day, as he was RAILIN" thru the turns with very little braking.
Then back up HWY 70 along Feather river, very fast!
Thx for the riding lesson BanjoBoy!

thats a road Ive always wanted to try.
In my mind I give the FJR a hard time because it never really seems to be cornering very fast until I look down at the speedo and go holy crap.... maybe I should slow down a bit. its pretty deceptively quick

We have curves in Florida. Every once in awhile I come up to one. I generally stop to rest and think about it before I go around it.

classic. I recently read that if Space Mountain at Disneyland was a real mountain, it would be the third highest in the state......personally, I couldnt hack. You never really think about it, but elevation changes at freakin awesome - as seen on one of the greatest roads on Earth:

I average a fair amount of miles/year, and it keeps your various parts in riding shape.

I used to tour on RSV Mille, CBR1000RR, ZX-14... so maybe it just feels better by comparison
I personally found the stock FJR seat to be one of the worst I've ever ridden on, and I'd say I get some pretty good seat time :).
