Tag

Partially stolen house on Soapstone Rd. in Banks County. Well, I just noticed I got the wrong side of the house--is that okay with you Gallowbraid???

I know you really wanted to put the Tag here.

In Banks County, I think this is how they say, "Come on in, a stranger is just a friend we haven't met yet."

New Tag

Lots of great DSing in the immediate area, but this Tag is accessible by any bike.

This Tag comes with free drugs or free cash, depending on when you show up. Look at the square drain in the pic with my bike in it. See the rectangular gray rock? Well, when I went over to take the close-up pix, I moved the rocks off the moss (see them now on the ground in the lower right corner of the first close-up pic). Well, underneath them was (is) a ziplock bag with a film canister inside. I relocated the bag to the ground so it wouldn't clutter the pretty mossy tank thingy pix. I'm sure they won't mind.

LOL, what time were you there? I went there today also. I even stopped at the same spot but couldn't figure out how to get the big GS to the same spot the Tag picture was taken so I rode up the hill looking for a place I could get her turned around. It was definitely more mud than I like taking the GS on with worn Tourances.

This Makes Three

I thought I saw some bike tracks in the mud. Oh well...

See, I even had my optional auxiliary fuel tank for my extended voyage to the tag. I've got to figure out how to do all this tagging stuff on my phone.

I was there around 2:00. Yeah, I found out about that white clay the hard way. I was givin' her all heck through there and suddenly broke traction with both tires at the same time... slid straight sideways into the ditch at speed (one dab, no carnage). Slicker'n snot, man.

Gallowbraid, thanks for showing me that road. I work on a lot of horses in the area, and will "use" that road a lot for playtime between barns. In fact, I can't believe I haven't already found it on my own.
Pete

In two passes, I just didn't see a driveway to the house. You may have the Tag, yet. We'll see what Gallowbraid says. Either way, great day to be on the pigtrails,
Pete

Now Pete, are you sure that wasn't one of those fancy Geo-caches?

Wait, I have to make a decision? Crap.

I vote for fairly lax rules with this whole tagging game so let's go with first come first served so I'll award it to you SlowRide. Judo it was nice meeting you today, maybe if I hadn't kept you hanging out at the track so long you could've gotten there first. You need to bring the KDX out next time, I thrashed the heck out of the KX125 and now I'm paying for it.

That other gate is actually where Willy Wonka's Banks County cousin lives. They make something besides chocolate back there.

My favorite part of that road is the fact that between the tag and 441 the road is different every day. I've seen it all mud, all rock, washed out mud and rock, and solid ice. It's certainly interesting on a larger bike. Used to fly through there on the 250...the 650 is a bit more reserved. I've run a 2wd F150 through there after a heavy rain and tore up the bottom of some side steps and the rear axle. Fun.

Yep, that road is a good one. Gallowbraid, I enjoyed meeting you and the family. That's a great place you have there. I'd surely love to come back with the KDX.

Pete, you got the tag fair and square. We must have just missed each other on the road. I didn't ever see a driveway to the house either, so I just went up the bank. Probably easier to do on a little 250 smoke burner than a big beemer.

Maybe I'll go see whats in the film container this week

As for the Beemer comment...

...I forgot who we were dealing with here

Nice work, Slowride. I hope you were already in the neighborhood. Although it sure is a nice day just to be out riding anywhere!

Now let's see some pics from behind the iron fortress just down the road. I gotta know what's back there.

New tag:
Snoopy's hot nuts are just ahead (maybe a bratwurst as well?).... And the twistys on the way make it worth the ride
