Ha! Good one! To answer in reality, 4 or 4.5 in barrel but full size government frame 1911. Commonly refered to as a Commander size since that one pictured which is mine is the original Commander.

I have a P22 and love it because it is very cute, feels great in the hand, and shoots great, but, it is not as good build quality as the Ruger Mark I,II,III or 22-45 and it probably wouldn't last as long as one of those either. I also saw a brand new 45-22 with bull barrel selling for under 300.00.

They were known to let the slide go into two pieces, if memory serves the front would/could snap off and to be fair I think this was with the earlier models and the problem has been fixed. As a note it didn't matter the round count nor if a suppressor was used, some let go within a couple magazines and other went way longer. As mentioned I'd get the Ruger MKII/III, there's so much stuff you could add it's crazy.

People seem to have a love/hate thing with the P22. The early P22s had more than their fair share of issues. If Walther has taken care of things and the issues are gone from the current production, the P22 would make a great plinker. However, you can get into a Ruger Mk. III for the same or less money and get a gun that will probably be more reliable, more accurate and have an almost unlimited selection of aftermarket goodies.

I really like this Ciener .22 conversion that I use mostly on my Lightweight Commander frame. Aluminum slide and frame is way light, and the mags hold 15 rnds.
