I don't own an AR but I can measure the mags if you like. I read the Ruger propaganda on the model and they say that it should shoot a 9" cluster at 300 yards. I haven't shot the gun yet but plan to soon, however I can tell you the trigger feels spectacular! This is my first high power rifle and I can not wait to shoot it.

Need some scope opinions:
The particulars- Rem 700 SPS .223 heavy barrel, I rarely shoot >300m
Like the "tactical" style turrets, really don't like unscrewing caps- maybe 6X18X40 ish-
Something in the $3-400 range tops.

Opinions on Barska? Vortex Viper? Millett stuff?

The pistol, the only maintence I've done is wipe down the outside, it's bulky/clunky, it wieghs more empty than my Glock 23 loaded. I actually qualified for my CWP using it. The Beretta 92 was having issues getting rid of the emptys. Fortunately this was in the bottom of the range bag.

As was said before, they get a bad rap mostly from people that haven't owned or shot one. Are they a bit crude? Yes. Are they the best firearm out there. Probly not. Would I recomend someone purchase one. I don't see any reason not to.

What is it that you want to shoot at 300 yards?

Skip Barska. Go Leopold, but beware of the fakes, the Mark IVs had a glut of fakes hit the interwebs classifieds lately.
