But now, I am stuck on the 1911 format. SA Champion in hand with a Les Baer and a Wilson Combat on order... (This thread is killing my savings account!)

Any 1911 or gluck can be outfitted with a .22 conversion for maximum funification.

Hello folks.. A friend gave me a complete upper to his Ruger Mark II pistol, now I need a lower. Where can I get one? gunbroker is empty.

Found a Mark I frame for $105 -- worth it? Can a Mark I be drilled into Mark III?

Take a look here - Numrich

I don't think a Mk. I can be converted to a Mk. III. Not 100% sure, but they made some significant engineering changes between the models.

That's an excellent link, Thanks. I found 10 round magazines for my S&W 59. CT is bouncing legislation around that would limit mags to 10 rds. (knee jerk reaction to the AZ shooting) If it passes, I was trying to figure out how to put a plug in my 15 rd mags so the gun would still be legal, but problem solved. The right way to solve it is defeat this legislation first.

Yeah, and I hate rubber grips. I do like the new style linen micarta grips and will probably end up with some on this one.

I believe your hi cap mags would still be legal if they were made pre ban. Thats how it works in Mass.

Oddly enough, the ONLY thing I have found to be not 1911 clone on this AMT HArdballer is the splay between the grip screws! Which is a weird thing to NOT do 1911 clone....seems weird to make it so no aftermarket grips will fit the AMTs without a little gouging. It took me about ten minutes with a very sharp knife to make these fit. GLad they were an extra set of old Houges I had lying around. The stock grips off the AMT are a set of OEM'ed for AMT Wrap around Pacmeyers with an AMT (gold) medallion in the spot where the Pacmeyer emblem should be. I have them in the box the gun came in.

Hey Dan!

Tell me about the scout mount, how many rounds you have through the rifle in that setup, and how is it holding on!

Funny, my Hardballer Longslide works fine with 1911 stocks. I think it is a very early one and maybe that is why.
