Police Pistol- Slim

Any Walther PPS owners? Found a used one, local, in very nice
shape (though they are asking a ton for it).

Google says the early ones had spring issues. Anybody know anything else about them?

Not happy about it, but don't REALLY care. It's a trainer and fun as shit.
I've got thousands through mine and no finish issues. Just not as accurate as my Brown. Way cheaper to shoot though.

I have 1K rounds of new Starline brass on hand, and a brand new MiHec H&G #503 .44 Caliber Keith brass mould staring at me. Just need to get the lead pot warmed up.

Very nice. Never manhandled a Bisley grip before. How do you like it?
Oh, and my trade was just finalized. Threw some guns up for trade on my gunboard and a guy came at me with this:

45 Colt (hee!) with a 45 ACP cylinder as well. 1976 vintage, has "MADE IN THE 200th YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY" stamped on the barrel. Woulda preferred a shorter barrel, but you can't look a gift 45 Colt in the mouth I suppose....

Nice score on the 45 Colt. Getting the box and papers is a plus also.
The Bisley frame is a love it / hate it thing. After trying one out, I never looked back.
Here is some reading for you regarding your new toy and caliber:

No, but there is .45 mag, but you have to buy a Grizzley 1911 for it.

Expecting the finish to last on the GSG 1911s is pretty much a mistake. Everywhere you look that is just about the only (and first) thing all GSG 1911 owners bitch about. But to all it isn't a biggie since you can get the entire gun cerakoated for about 100 clams, and it really doesn't matter anyway since it is a .22 trainer like you stated. Mine started wearing off before I ever shot it since I trained drawing and such for a couple days. It looked like it was a year old by the time I shot it three days after I got it. The fun factor and accuracy made up for the finish weakness!

Loading for the .44 or .45LC is really easy, fast, and satisfying (accurate). Congrats on your Bisley.

Good clean fun.

I'm just glad to have that Sean Connery pic off the page.

The Codpeice is going to give me nightmares. The movie was weird too. Very. At least there was some hot 70s pootang in it.
