I can see having a gun safe full of nothing but 357s.

If I didn't have to pay for it, I'd shoot the shit out of it no problem. Now that I've got another rifle, it gives me something else to try loading on. It could still happen though if the wife still likes shooting in a year or two, since it looks like a centerfire that she could wrap her mitts around.

Personally, I'm at a point where I really have no interest in adding more calibers, I've got too many as it is.

I love grabbing a few boxes of 357/38, my marlin and one of my revolvers and going out and shooting some cans. The only caliber I burn through more of is 223, but 30 round mags make that pretty damn easy.

Yep. They say you might have feeding problems with the magazine but I doubt that's a biggie. I dunno if you'd have to worry about the fouling of the chamber like you do with a revolver given the camming action of the bolt.

I can totally see that. The main reason I haven't been looking at .223 is for the ammo I'd burn through. I haven't given up on a .357 rifle yet, I think having a lever gun that burns cheap ammo but hold 8-10 rounds would be a blast

The CZ-75 has a slightly larger grip "feel". The SP-01 and P-01 incorporate a new(ish) trigger design.
Cool!

Which would you prefer? (looking at the 3.5" model)

Whats the difference with the triggers?

Is it because of the rims?

I think it is because the rotary mag doesn't extend out of the bottom of the rifle.

Would that be an issue with a 5 round mag though?

Or is the rifle much thinner than I think it is?

Well you were on to something when it comes to the rim, that rules out a double stack mag. I would bet it you stacked 5 .357 rounds right on top of each other, plus follower, plus spring, it would be quite a bit taller and wouldn't flush-fit with the stock. Just look at the 10/22 vs. other .22s with single-stack mags, all the single-stacks point out the bottom.

The CZ-75D has the Decocker. B should have the regular safety.

Bet she would like this.

My wife shoots our Marlin Guide Gun in 45/70 and loves it (for about 10 rounds at least). The 1894 in .357 would be sweet and holds nine rounds.

Whoops, getting my Pre and Post Ban's mixed up. Thanks for catching that. You're right, it should be evil already.

The A2's are really coming back though. It's from all the backlash against the farkled up M4-geries.

Like, the 94 is my fav lever action. Smooth and about as short of a lever throw as possible. Someday I hope to have one in 357. Wish the Colt lightning pump was as reliable.
