Your best bet to really find out what it might be worth is to get a membership over on 1911 dot com and ask there in vintage 1911s. IF it is all matching parts, and in as good shape as it looks, I am going to GUESS about 1500 dollars. BUT this might be WAY off! The little Iver isn't worth much if anything and I personally would not shoot it without having a smith check it out.
I agree, the 45 looks pretty nice and if the parts match up it's worth a fair amount of money, at least $1500, maybe more. The Iver Johnson isn't worth much, but is an interesting conversation piece. The boxes of ammo look to me like they might be from the 60s. Sometimes older boxes of ammo are worth some $, but I don't know much about that.

I think they must mainly be zoned into the shittier parts of town and things just go from there.
Sounds like the range I work for. There is a city park across the street that the gangbangers hang out in but they know better than to cross the street because there are always lots of heavily armed, well-trained citizens practicing.

A customer looked into opening a new and modern range locally but the cost was astronomical. How about ~$48,000 per lane once you included the cost of the air handling system, bullet trap and booth hardware!

Had lunch at the local range, brought my sig but wanted to rent the xd 9mm 3" and the M&P compact also. I was all set on the XD until I shot the M&P. I liked the XD with the dual mag release and easier to reach slide release (small hands), but the M&P felt a touch nicer and I shot it much better. Put about 200 rounds through each gun. The M&P mag for some reason was real tough to get that last round in (10 round - ca limit) might have been a bit fubared from all the rentals it has been through . Both felt about the same weight but the M&P felt a touch lighter and was easier to grip. I did like the chamber indicator and hammer pin on the XD but the basic firing and grip went to the M&P.
good problem to have I guess. but which one? hmmmmmmm

I hate 10rnd mags. They never seat that 10th rnd easily because if you can seat that 10th rnd too easily, you can maybe get an 11th in there.

I'd go with whichever feels nicer which in your case would be the M&P.

funny that huh my thumbs are sore
Have to look into the grip issue for the sig too. where to find that is going to be a hunt, not the most popular model.

Not sure where you'd find a shop with Sig's in stock. What are you looking for?

Seems silly to be using one for a 10rnd mag though. Funny thing is the full-capacity mags are easier to load and don't have any problems fitting that last round in.

But any normal gun owner would have more than just one mag.

That's not a good excuse for making magazines like this though. This is one of the reasons I'd rather have a 45 then a 40 or 9. Not to mention, unless you have pre-ban mags, you're still stuck with 10rnds anyway. My 228 will hold 18 in a Mec-Gar mag that sits just about flush with the bottom.
