I'd be surprised if one side of that setup would be useful beyond maybe 15 yards. Unless the manufacturer spent an incredible amount of time those two barrels will point in different directions so you'd only be able to get the site lined up with one side or the other.

Well, when the idea for the rig is to spray and pray at 15m I doubt that has any effect on it's "accuracy". I am willing to bet they have a cross point of about 50m out max, probably 25~30m out. All doubles have a cross point and depending on weapon, that might be close or at longer range.

If you liek the gun because it tickles your fancy that's one thing; I guess I still don't get the need. If spray and pray is the desired goal I would think there are other submachine guns with a higher rate of fire which would be better at the spray and pray operation. Or one could use that Russian automatic shotgun.

I don't like it nor would I buy one and I don't spray and pray. I was merely stating it was more useful than the other double barrel "tactical" thing recently posted here, a 1911 with two barrels side by side. And at least this thing is slightly useful for those who would have to hose their enemy down with rounds. And a Sub gun wouldn't hold a candle to this thing it being a rifle with .223 rounds against a single sub gun in 9mm......although like I said, it is basically worthless. Like a cell phone with only one button that dials 911 when you press it.

Personally, I'd like to know exactly what experience made somebody sit down and think "Wow...y'know, what we really could have used was a double-barreled assault rifle..."

Needs 4 barrels and evenly distribute the auto-fire between the barrels.

Got it.

When I mentioned submachine gun I was thinking the 5.7mm round which I read can defeat body armor when fired out of a rifle. The FN P90 has a 900RPM rate of fire which would give good spray and pray.

I think the word Marketing was it......so many companies are jumping on the overly tacticool deal since Ars started selling for three times what they are worth when the O show got elected.

Yep, time them to all be firing when the others are between shots. Sequentially.

Look like one of the hair-brained ideas they'd try to build at Red Jacket....only the work looks better! Totally useless though. Nothing a big drum mag can't accomplish!

Yeah!

Hey, what if you rotated the barrels around a central point, maybe use an electric motor to spin them and feed all the rounds through a central receiver which would then load the rounds and fire them as the barrels spin past...

Nah, that's a dumb idea, nobody would do that...

I was going to call this one a Mini Mini Gun after the sequential firing comment. I have a cool T shirt with a picture of a Minigun on it and the caption reads, GE, we bring good things to life!
