You can get a 9 but I have a 45 Ultra RCP and that carries 8 of 45. I also have 9mm carry pieces. Seems if you're gonna go 1911 you might as well go big. Some of the Kimbers run well, other people have nothing but trouble.
I am on my second and have had no problems in thousands of rounds. Only FFE's were when bugwife limpwristed it. Good pieces with lovers and haters. Nice Warrior. Bug

They claim more durable... i think they are moving towards unalterable. which will mean jard volq, rimfire technologies etc full units for 300/pop.

Ruger is very easy to clean, and the ruger magazines just about make up for the accuracy, plus if you get a used ruger and slap a good barrel on it they are pretty much even. Owning both, the 60 is the choice if you want to spend as little money as possible and have a great basic .22 semi auto. But if you can budget 200+the 10/22 you will have a great little gun (with the old ones atleast) 10/22 + GM sale barrel, plus bolt buffer, plus trigger mods = very nice little gun. Model 60 + nothing = model 60, nice little gun but not possible to get a magazine as nice as the 10 round ruger flush mount. Its the same reason I bought a Ruger 77/17 HMR over a savage/marlin/cz. Even if arguably the others are better buys cost wise none has as nice magazine system as the ruger. I got the Marlin 60 and ruger 10/22 both as used guns, and cleaning wise I think the Ruger wins, certainly if you do a full clean the 10/22 allows easier take down. And as far as lubrication either does well with graphite dry lube, neither likes being run oily. |
