Got my .22 rifle back

I lent my Marlin Model 60SS to my FIL about a year ago and have been missing it ever since. I lent it to him for Coyotes near his land, but right after that he put in an electric fence. So I got it back last night, put the scope back on it and sighted it in with 60gr Subsonic Colibre ammo. Got it to where I was able to hit the golf ball from about 40~50M so good to go now for the Coyotes behind the fence. They showed up last week again right after I got 5 new cheeguns. BTW for what it is that 60gr ss hits hard! Back about two years ago I whacked a Coyote with it at about 60m and it nearly spun him in a 360.

I love the little P238 since it looks like mini me to my Scorpion...and of course since it is like a mini 1911.

9mm in a 1911 good target round load needed. A buddy just bought a SA 1911 Loaded in 9mm and is going to compete with it in falling plate. What is a good load you 1911 9mm guys used that works he can load up as a starting point?

IIRC-- universal powder, 4.5 gr with a 115gr bullet (I believe 5.0 ish would be a max load)

One thing I love about the P238/938 is you can have the safety on and still operate the slide.

Something I never understood why they didn't do on the 1911s.

I wish we could, I'd like to know why he did that.

It wasn't like that on the later highpowers.

At breakfast last sunday, where several of us get together to solve worldly problems, one of the regulars happened to mention that "Barrett" has produced and is marketing a rifle with a 1 inch bore. Well today I looked at their web site and the bigest rifle they offer is a .50.
Has anyone heard of a rifle with a 1" bore from Barrett?

ps. I subscribe to a couple of gun magazines and would think something that large would be plastered all over the cover. At the same time I don't wanna call bullshit, in front of several mutual friends, but mabe that's what he wants. dunno.

Barrett makes many guns for the military. The one you're thinking of is called the XM-109. It's a 25mm x 59mm anti-material rifle.

No. Not like you can go into wally world and pick up a box of XM25 rounds. It's basically a grenade projectile.

I wouldn't expect to find a box of .50bmg rounds @ the chineese emporium either.

Maybe so as you reholster you will not push the slide out of battery? I habitually place my thumb on the back of the slide of my Glock as I reholster for that reason. With a 1911 I would not need to.
