Ya I probably have an Old Marlin Catalog with this, back when they had the bolt action target .22 as well.

Neat looking, don't think it sold very well.

The deerfield is a very fun little gun to shoot as well. But I did covet the 9mm camp carbine in my youth.

Picked this up at the gun show Sunday, fired it at the range on Tues. I like it very much.
Sig P938 nightmare. (9mm)

It's just a tad bigger than an LCP or Bodyguard 380.

Well, I've got big hands so I guess I'll stick with my LC9.

Do you finally have that thing running right?

I wear medium in most gloves and get two fingers frimly on grip. I have an extended mag coming that will hold 7 rounds instead of 6 so that will be a nice option and may give me all 3 fingers on the grip.

It has night sights too. I think my bodyguard 380 is going to become a safe queen, though it is lighter and has no external hammer so it may still come out once in a while.

Side x Side

Posted earlier about passing up a Winchester model 21 that I should have taken advantage of 25 some odd years ago.

I still would like to pick up a nice SxS but the 21's are pretty pricey now.

Browning BSS? They seem to run in the 1500 range from what I've seen...asking price anyways.

Beretta Silver Hawk?
Fabarm Classic Lion?
Ruger Gold Label?
Weatherby Athena D'Italia?

TIA

Looks nice, but painful.

Yea, i did a bit of research and it's not suppose to be as bad on the recoil as one would think.. but I'll let you know..

I'm having trouble getting a definitive answer on whether it will shoot the +P (it says in book it will shoot 38 SP and of course the 357). I don't see why it wouldn't but I've read that if i do it will void the lifetime warranty (how would they know).

.357 Magnums are MUCH nastier than any 38 Spl +P. No worries.

Depends what gauge, vintage, and price point you want.

For new guns some of the spanish doubles are pretty well priced.

The model 21's are now made by CSMC, and you can still get new ones (not the same price as 25 years ago).

http://www.connecticutshotgun.com/model21.html

I have a matched pair of RBL-28's from CSMC, and they are pretty nice, not as nice as many doubles... but then again, not as much $$$$ as many doubles.

4X$ instead of 10X$ money.
