Less Talk...

More guns...

I believe I've posted this before, but I am really liking it. Never thought I'd enjoy a pistol caliber carbine, but this one's changing my mind.

I really have to admit, I like shooting pumpkins for one reason only. They are easier to dispose of than empty soda bottles. Need to find a good source for Tannerite® too as it would make kill shot more explosive.

Negative. I had no houses or fences in the way! I had to retrieve this shot off my son's cell phone. I sent this to him from my tree stand. I took this whilst still in my tree about a minute after the buck was kilt. It's a crap pic because my cell phone cost me a penny.

Nice, I was just teasing since you didn't say 42 feet.

While i had the camera out for the Springfield, I decided to take a few more pics,

I've had this one about ten years. Purchased a plastic stock for it shortly thereafter, but never mounted it. With a little practice, I found I could do pretty good out to 20-30 feet from the hip. And since there ain't a room in my house longer than 18 feet and the yard's not much more than that, that's good enough.
It's the "House Gun".

This is the only gun I've ever bought new,
I had a motorcycle accident years ago. My right ring finger no longer closes all the way, the ADV-finger doesn't work that well either, and I have very long fingers anyway, And I am HOPELESSLY right-handed. So, I wanted something that would really fill my messed-up hand. Good-bye S&W Bodyguard, Hello to my buddy from the Great White North. My first thought. "Wow, they spared no expense marking this puppy!"

O.K., the mag markings look a little more professional.

It's my Travel Gun. Not for concealed carry, just the car/motel/tent gun.
Shoots GREAT! An ex- Deputy Sheriff friend of mine was there the first time I shot it. I had stuck one of those 1-inch price tag stickers on the target, and from 7 yards standing, we both took turns trying for it, Well, we never did hit it, but we made a perfect daisy chain around and just barely touching that damn little dot, laughing and cussing until it finally fell out. Still have the target (and the dot), somewhere.

interesting about the sino-banian sks. I have a sino-soviet sks from when the soviets moved the production down to china. I was completely lost with the mix of markings on it and the bayonet. Thought it might have been a parts kit gun or something but the patina on it, the lack of import markings, and the backstory (which may be BS) made me curous and willing to take a chance. Once I figured it out I was happy to have a slightly less common version of one of the most common rifles in history.....and for a killer deal since at the time sks's were going for $400!

How does yours shoot? I wish I would have bought one of these when I had the opportunity too... don't see too many of them around here anymore; not lately at least.

mine shoots pretty darn well....from the lead slead with my own loads (I don't shoot surplus in the PSL or the SVT40) it put 9 rounds in an area about the size of a bowling ball...with one flyer.

I have never had a lick of problem out of this rifle....and mine is a TGI gun....the one that most people say are just problem filled.

At the last gun show in KC there was a guy that had 2 PSL's that he was selling for $1800 Said they are all Romanian I went to look and it had TGI on the bottom of the rec....I walked away from the table, and told that to the guys he was courting...told his possible customers that it is an american rec....and gave them a quick 101 on the psl and what I know to look for.

I am not expert, but I hate when people try to sell stuff like that....here in kc that gun goes for around $1000 when you can find one....they just are hard to find here....but he was trying to sell something that it was not.

My newest acquisition

Here's my newest member of the family. M&P Shield. Haven't even shot it yet. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.
