there's way to much steel on a ruger anyway.

it looks sweet good polished, but for a couple hours work and some shredded skin it could be clean...

Nice looking gun. I've fired a few shells through my mother's Mohawk 48 12g and those gas recoil guns KICK. The 16g might not be too bad, but damn, the 12g hit hard using 3" gamebird loads. I can't imagine trying to fire a slug in one.

I have two of them but not a 16. That gun has been shot a bunch long ago and not cleaned for a long time. Not saying it is bad but I would clean it up If i bought this I would take it apart and wipe it down with a rag with hoppes. I know nothing about restoring guns but I do know about buying old ones and shooting them. I'm sure there is better but WD40 cleans those pits pretty well.

When you get that gun cleaned up, download the manual and be sure to understand how to stack the recoil spring and friction rings on the magazine tube to compensate for the particular load you're shooting.

Took the barrel out and gave a nice w40 bath, very simple, one big spring and 3 "washers".
But I doubt I'd keep it.. I'd love to send it to my Bro. in Argentina, but most likely I'll make some coins out of it!
If I get some 16g shells I may try it this weekend. All the movements and auctions seems tie and in working order.

i shot a 40 cal one. was pretty pleasant for a 40.

not sure if the kinks are worked out yet, but it sounds like the maryland state police didn't have much luck with them. from what i've heard, they did attempt remediation before cutting their losses.

I don't know anything about shotguns, but do own a few....really want an older 28..bout all the recoil I can take...I was good for about 10-12 rounds of a 20...28 did not bother me a bit....but anyway.

Looks like an A5....are they related?

In the last 3 months with the ammoe prices and scarcity, I picked up a few .22s.

Shit, these are fun.

Just finished my 10/22 build.

And picked up this P22 to partner with it.

Ruger 1911!

Met a young fellow at the range today with his new Ruger 1911. Wow. Nice gun for $750. If I hadn't bought my Kimber! Accurate too. Can't imagine spending big bucks on Colts etc.I believe this gun is better quality than recent Colts. Just saying. Good to get out and shoot again. Banged off a bunch of 38/357 and 22. Would of shot my 45 but still lots of snow on the ground and brass picking is no fun in that white shit. My buddy with the Ruger didn't want his new factory brass so I broke down and dug out 100 pieces for myself. First really warm sunny day in a while. 55 degrees F. Good clean fun!

Next time take a plastic tarp and lay it out. Good brass is worth keeping.

I tried that with a 10x15 tarp. I spent more time trying to get the brass to hit the tarp than the bullet hitting the targets.

I hit our range when the sun comes out and the snow's melting. New brass shows up everywhere!
