Glock probably doesn't have the expertise or the facilities required to build an all-steel precision made weapon like a 1911.

I think Glock is the only ones not making a 1911.

Yeah. Because they're far too busy fixing all the Gen 4 malfunctions and fighting the current LE rumored problems

Yeah, bunch of F'n Colt wanna' be's.

Glock's smart, stick with what you know. It's the PD gun of choice, 1000's of PD's can't all be wrong.

My agency transitioned to them from revolvers, I liked it enough to stay with it after I retired.

Since it far surpassed all previous NATO tests, it was adapted as a standard NATO arm according to WIKI.

As the store guy said, this place is not about NEEDS

As he was showing me a brand new FN Five-Seven. SHIT....just what I did not need to see in my fragile state. And he's got two of them at list price. Crap, crap, crap....

I know that I can barely afford to buy the thing let along feed it at today's ammo prices - anyone want to guess if the round will be popular enough to be a common loading?

I guess it's good to have dreams.

I was amazed, it's lighter than my FNS-40 yet the barrel is longer - of course it's also about 1/4th the steel in it.

Oh well.

I LOVE the Five Seven.

It's not exactly cheap to shoot, but oh my gawd it's a fun weapon.

Well, it appears I discovered I have one gun that doesn't like Tula ammo. The S&W SD40VE shoots it but had two FTL's in a 10 round mag. My BIL had tons of it for him M&P which jams consistently on it. So I was a nice guy and traded him a box of Remington S&W40 for a box of Tula 40 S&W.

I blame user-error: limp-wristing the 19 and maybe a bad recoil spring. But sounds like limp-wristing to me.

I love to shoot my CZ 75B -- and I love the weapon -- but I always know my Glocks 23 will go boom.

Oh, I got a couple of boxes of the berdan primed, still cased 9 MM Luger and it was a nightmare in my Browning Hi Power - I had multiple FTF's in each magazine - I'm glad I shot the entire lot at one time and did not save it, I might have bought more at $10 a box of 50. What crap - I think it was overlength and jamming in the magazines.

Oh, you are no help at all. At the cost to shoot it, it looks like an expensive "hey, check THIS out" and it's nearly new...IOW, something of a safe-queen or maybe the one that stays next to the bed or something like that.

Maybe ammo will come down for it.

It's sure a high-tech looking sucker. Maybe he'll do a lay-away...

High tech, fer shure. It was the armament prop of choice for the remade Battlestar Galactica series

My fave is a gen 1 G17 I bought used. Former DC cop gun. Shoots like crazy. So spot on and comfortable. Low bore axis. A perfect thing circa I think '88.
