Keep in mind I've taken 40 shots with it - hopefully I'll improve some once I get used to a good trigger.

IIRC, isn't the general police spec a 4.5" group at 25 yards? I think it is. Anyway, practice as I get more ammo will be in order.

Guess I missed that..I think No. 4 for the drones if they are close enough for a shotgun, otherwise, perhaps a Sergant York?

My brother had a Colt nickel plated .38 with wood grips that belonged to our dad. Some crack head broke in his house and stole it.

I finally shot it yesterday and I really like it. Shoots differently than my XD in 40 but after a few more rounds (after I can find more) I will get used to the trigger, it's smooth just different but as you said recoil is not bad at all.

Sorry for crappy iphone pic

Here's a pic of my XD in 40

everyone knows a revolver is all but worthless unless it's new and black. if you happen to run into anyone unaware of this...please tell them.
Don't forget the Colts and Smith&Wessons are the most worthles.

Hard to tell, but is that a sub-compact? 3" barrel? I've seen those in 9, they are quite nice - I have a compact, 4" barrel - don't know where that designator came from, freaking huge it is.

I shot another 70 rounds last weekend and I'm liking it more as I get used to it. It's sure easy to breakdown and clean, no more pulling of pins and separate spring packs.

I got my spare mags for the PX4 and today the FNS-40. I guess I need to order a couple for the Five seveN.

It's the compact w/4", sorry pic is awful. I want to shoot more but I don't want to shoot all my 9mm ammo. Been looking online for some but refuse to pay rip off prices.

Yea, 9mm has been MIA around here for several months now. I'm hoping to find a couple hundred rounds tomorrow. Hope you like it. Mine has grown on me.

That looks like fun! They should put a paint ball gun on the plane to give the pilot a fair chance

That looks like a TON of fun, and most likely highly illegal in 48 states.

Are those tannerite charges on the undercarriage? Fkn cool as hell!

Also, Garcia...why is the 5.7 considered a varmint gun/round? I thought they were "cop killers". It looks like a decent carry gun, but waaaay too expensive to practice on, though. I've always loved the 5.7 pistol.

I always thought it was weird why my .223 Savage bolt-action was considered a varmint gun but a tricked-out AR that fires the same exact round is a "deadly assault rifle that can bring down a plane".

Hm, well, I'm no expert. Yea, the Five seveN was designed with the intention of making a smaller, lighter round with soft armor piercing capability - the idea being that many members of the military who don't normally carry a rifle could use an AP pistol in case of emergency.

As a sporting round, it's a rather interesting animal - not really as long range as the .223 with it's much lighter projectile, and not as much velocity/energy. I have heard that small deer have been taken in Florida where the deer are quite tiny. Also some have said hogs.

I think that it might be good for coyote and certainly for woodchucks, skunks, porcupines, etc, and the fairly flat shooting and accuracy out to 100 yards makes it a possible choice instead of a rifle - if you are a good shot.

I'm also no expert in self defense shooting but it seems to me that in close quarters, I'd probably rather have my .40 for the higher foot pounds of energy up close. I can't help but feel it should have better knock down power. Beyond 25 yards perhaps, the Five seveN might have an edge with the additional ammo capacity. I don't know enough to really say, that's just my gut feeling.

There's a lot written about the round and the gun, google gave me a lot of pages of reviews. By the way, unless you go black market, civilians cannot have the armor piercing rounds, so it's sort of an academic issue.

IF the pistol has an edge, it's the ballistics - fast and flat shooting - much more so than any of the common pistol rounds - even the factory loads are 2x the FPS of the .40, and a good 50% faster than the 9mm. And the lower recoil supports faster follow up shots.

Besides that, it's a rather interesting pistol itself - it's something rather on the opposite end of the Desert Eagle .50 cal....

And, fully loaded a half pound lighter than a my .40....that's quite a bit.
