I think I do indeed have an oddball so to speak. It is a model 14, called the 14 service. Intended to be a cops revolver and probably issued to a cop back when new. They were available in both blued and flat finish, and the blued versions were much more rare. Called the Service because for cops it had fixed sights. It is a "fusion" as well it appears because it has the newer recessed style barrel nut like the later model 15, but the older style fixed sights. I did also find out theu happenchance that all the newer 15 style barrels will fit but will have a slightly taller sight with an insert. So.....now I have to try find a few more barrels!

An inmate who know way more than me helped clean it up and will get a chance to do some practice range stuff with it next month
![]() I think based on the history it is the first series of the .38 special up to '72 production run.

A good round would be any standard 140 grain + ball or wadcutter ammo. |

So way back when I posted my guns I had a single Sig P6 for a pistol. Well I used it a lot over the last two years and decided that I liked it so much and needed a good reliable pistol for carrying around at work and in the woods that I decided to buy another one for a beater sidearm. It was more money than my first one but it's beat up already and I won't feel bad about beating it up some more. The price on these things has gone up since they stopped importing them into the country.
