Shoot, i had a pre ban CAR15, a real one. Had it for like twenty five years before I sold it and it sat and sat and I never shot it and left a mag full of rounds in it. When I decided to sell it I took it out without cleaning it and shot a whole mag thru it as fast as i could pull the trigger and it didn't fail. I had it here and in Cali before they got all commie and shit on their gun laws and it sat in that environment about a block and a half from the beach where I lived too for 12 years. It was a chrome bore.

They should be fine but don't get them juxtaposed (crooked) going in the mag well or they break off the lips. When this happens it is kinda neat because the mag ejects all thirty rounds in about a quarter second on the ground. It looks like a bullet hose.

Psl

They are fun, but don't expect anything better than 2.5" at 200 yards with it.

Fun and reliable rifle, not all too accurate but OK out to 800m if you are good and lucky. Love the vintage looks, and the PSL scope is inventive and has a useful rangefinder built in which actually works pretty well if you know how to use it. I might pick one up for 400 in good shape someday.

If it's a Series 70 Colt, then the Colt.

If not then the H&K.

And what might be bad about the later series Colt?
