My most recent purchase for IDPA and IPSC is a M&P 9L with Apex Tactical sear and block. Still deciding on the sights, but so far I've done quite well with the plain ol' 3-dots.
Looking to get in the CDP class and may get the full-size M&P 45 with the aforementioned Apex. Lots cheaper than a good 1911, and the poly gun can be dinged and dropped without me throwing up my lunch over the pretty single-action getting holstered to death. |

My newest one:
![]() Colt 603 upper with a retro Nodak Spud lower. I plan on changing out the upper with a 604 reproduction, as that is what I used to carry. This is going to be a KISS rifle, and I hope to get in some iron sight matches with this summer. This is my favorite bullet hose. ![]() ![]()

Nothing beats a nice 1911 trigger. CDNN has the Springfield Trophy Match for 1099 delivered, and a local seller has a Dan Wesson for $850. I'd like a Sig Target Stainless. But right now it's all about competition for me so I'm thinking the M&P 45 cuz it'd fit my holster and the mag carriers, and mags are about $25.
I know, I know. Get both. My Glock 34 has Warren Tactical f/o front and all-black combo. I may go with a Dawson front this time, rear still undecided. The all-black front and rear combo has been recommended but I've had bad vision my entire life and a bright dot up front sure helps. Quote:

Okay, that's different. Not what I was thinking at all. Do you think it was included with the SP1 when it was new? I don't think I've ever seen one before, and I've seen a lot of ARs and have been interested in them since the late '60s, although certainly don't claim to be an expert.

Yup. Begs the question of whether it is wise to cram a round into a chamber if it doesn't want to go in there.
