I never liked the look of real shiny nickel plated guns, but the more burnished pewter-like look of SS looked great to my eye.

I still like it, and truly appreciate the functional and durability aspects, but gotta admit that a nicely blued handgun is gorgeous. There's a really sweet S&W 29-2 in a nearby shop, the owner claims it's never been fired although it doesn't have the box so I'm slightly skeptical, but it sure looks new. Trouble is, the guy wants a grand for it. Too rich for my blood, especially because it would end up being a safe-queen.
I too thought they were totally cool and gourgeos when they came out for the same reason, they were new and different. BUT because I am such a 1911 guy, and had a few stainless 1911s I will never own another total stainless 1911. I never could get one to be 100% totally reliable as my combo (alloy and steel, or alloy and stainless) guns were. The galling was just too much for my taste and personally I hate the way stainless guns look now as my tastes have changed again. I do however for some reason still love the way a high polish nickel gun looks, especially on a revolver....but still not as much as a high polish blue one.

Nah, if one carries .44spl for SD and a slow heavy bullet that won't happen. Plus, the tide has turned away from liberal lawyers trying to portray the victim (shooter) as the bad guy when the bad guy (the shootee) has a robbery and drug record 50 pages long....Jury's are starting to get it finally.

Mine has held up quite well. Being a lefty, I agree on the safety. The only issue I have is the stock LOP is too long. Something like 14.5-15 inches.

Depends on where you live. In Florida if the DA won't prosecute in a defensive shooting, you are immune from a civil suit.

With the Florida castle doctrine we don't have to be afraid of those that would have us be victims, the families of the poor misunderstood individuals or their lawyers.

If you haven't done it before, those damn klays can be very hard to hit.

Get somebody to hold 'em still for you. Makes things much easier.

I keep trying to staple them to my target but I think I'm doing it wrong.

You are. You need longer staples.
