Take the bulb out. Or, put black tape over it.

On the plus side, no more oil pan leaking (plus a few other things), on the neg side, still check light and out of date inspection.

Buy?

I'll have enough money in the next few weeks (hell, actually tomorrow) to get what I've been looking at, but christmas is so close and with my car still not entirely fixed and not certainty of a job after christmas, it's really in my best interest not to go through with it.
Does the car run, stop, turn?

Just fine.

I believe the issue is somewhere in the emissions system.

And pulling the bulb won't work since most places run ECU checks during inspection anyways.

Autozone will check the codes for free. Google the code, find a car forum for advice, fix it yourself for cheap. O2 sensors are very easy fixes.

I'm glad that none of the states I've ever lived in do this inspection nonsense. More money for guns and go-fast parts!

buy an ODBII unit at Autozone, for 39.00, take car to a block away from the smog station. Reset the code and zoom over to the station....DONE.

English. That's an Enfield. And that's Lizzie shooting. The spotter is the Duchess of Snottinghamshire.

See the resemblance?
