I found this gem unfired the other day. Gotta stay out of gun shops.

Lets see some more shotguns, how about some tacticool ones. There have been a number posted on here, a few recently. Here's my SHTF shotty (well, in truth it's mostly just a fun toy!):

Thanks for getting the gun thread back to guns.
It still would still be nice to read make and model typed by the pictures.

Does anyone have a stainless shotgun?
Someting to stow on a boat ride.
When I get back to the boating forum, I will get the name they recommended.

Not for hunting, more for defense.

Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton

Sorry. Mine is a Benelli M2 Tactical 12 gauge. 3" or 2 3/4". I added the mag extension when I was doing some 3-gun competition. It holds 7 in the mag and one in the chamber for a total of 8......that's 2 3/4" shells, one less if you use longer ones which I rarely do. Stock M2 Tacticals hold two less than that.

I'm not aware of anyone making a full stainless shotgun. They make the Remington 870 Magnum Marine which is intended for wet environments, but I'm pretty sure that those have a nickel plating rather than SS construction.

That Benelli M2 looks like big fun. Maybe it's just me but the pistol grip seems to spoil the lines.

Cheap custom gun....thoughts?

I'd really like a single-shot rifle with a 28" barrell, chrome lined, and chambered for .243WSSM.

Seems like something that complicated would be really expensive.
But I actually really like the guns by NEF/H&R and T/C Arms, and the NEF guns especially are really cheap. The barrels are made to be swapped around on both those companies single-shot rifles. If I picked up a used NEF for like $100 in .308 or something, could I just send it in to one of those custom barrel makers, and have them put a replacement barrel on it cambered to my specs for another $400-500 or so?

What is the minimum legal barrel length for a shotgun in the UK?

The M2 Tactical is also available with a more standard pistol-grip ComforTech stock.

There's the answer then. The barrel on my M2 is 18.5" and 18 is minimum unless you jump through some hoops and pay $200 for a tax-stamp in addition to the price of the gun. Unless you're willing to have the mag protrude beyond the end of the barrel, and I doubt that any commercial vendors would go for that, the capacity is going to be dependent on barrel length with a tubular mag.

Cleaning Kits?

Looking to pick up a decent cleaning kit for various calibers & gauges.

Any comments on the Otis Elite?

I have a Benelli M2 Field 21". Love it. Mine has a comfortech stock. The Inertia-Drive runs better with the standard stocks and not the pistol grips. Also, the Defense models have a higher spring rate on the recoil spring so they can shoot slugs. This makes them a bit more finicky when shooting cheap ammo or reduced recoil. Mine has a Nordic +5 mag tube, bolt handle as well as some other goodies.

I really like them, BUT cleaning kits are very YMMV. Some people like the Otis while others would rather use the old rods. I use my Otis on my .22, 5.56 and 30.06. I have the smaller kit and pick up accessories as I need them.

I would think that you could just have a 243 Win. barrel rechambered, and a little modification to the extractor. IIRC there is plenty of meat in the chamber area to handle that. You might want to check here for custom T/C work:
