My local dealer will not FFL any gun that he sells.

I figure when I get money I'll call a couple local guys and tell them what the deal is, and if they can come close I'll buy from them. When I have money

I've really got a boner for a .308 semi auto. Actually for an M14, but that's not gonna happen. And $3500+ to Fulton Armory is a out of the question.

Soooo, Ar10 variant, M1A loaded, SOCOM II, FAL, or? ??

I like the Fulton SASS, and the Remington R25 (DPMS), or maybe the original AR10. But the SOCOM. ....

Help!!

Things may be different in various parts of Texas, but we have one of two dealers of Class III weapons that advertise quite a bit. One had a large billboard with a machine gun on it. That may happen in other places, but I never saw advertised sales of Class III stuff in North Carolina or Florida.

Bah. The only thing Fulton Armory does great is convincing only their rifles are the best. They actually use Armscorp receivers. You should be able to track down an M1A for less than $2000. Just about any of the other brands but FedOrd and you should be okay good to go.

I've seen quite a few new SA M1As lately in the $1500 range.

I just got offerred a near-new SA M1A last week, synthetic stock version, for $1000!

Had to pass, dammit. Money's just that tight right now. Hurts, because I've had the hot running wants for one for a couple years now.

Yeah, $12-1500 tops. Manual of arms transfers AR10/15 so that's nice, but the SOCOM.....
