I like the Fulton SASS, and the Remington R25 (DPMS), or maybe the original AR10. But the SOCOM. ....

Help!!
DPMS AP4 on Glocktalk right now.... Cheap. If I had the funds I wouldn't be telling.

Edit - just checked it - sold on Sunday.

Norinco's forged reciever is said to maybe even be superior to Springfield Arm's.

That's because SA doesn't use forged receivers. But then it's not really an issue and SA has a lifetime warranty.

Yeah because the military is really concerned about having rifles with Mannlicher stocks or Colt Peacemakers

That's before you replace the terrible stock, sights, op rod spring guide, check index on the barrel(!), shim the gas system and hopefully have useable headspace right? Can't compare the two. The rincos are a great deal, best bang for your buck for a centerfire semi in the country, but they aren't an M1A.

You're starting to sound shrill and partisan.

no, the 2.5in Python was a pussycat with 158gr magnums, but since I want to keep it fresh forevermore, when I really shoot it like at the range, it'll just be 158gr JHP .38spls.....for carry it'll be 158gr JHP .357mags.

Made a "Retail" purchase yesterday

It was the first time I've bought something this way. Buying used doesn't require any paper work, just cash & a five minute phone call, then walk. I know, should have found it "used" to avoid this, but they're getting too much for them used & I'm already CCW holder . So they know.
I'm not new to guns, but this is my first (nice) revolver. Ruger SP-101, 3", .357 w/hammer.It will be used for traveling & back packing. Any advice from you experts would be appreciated. Things like don't put my off hand near the cylinder. duh.
From what I've learned a 180gr. Buffalo Bore round would be the hardest hitter for this round. What about general plinking, what do you guys use, .38, .38+P ?
